Under the direction of Annie Atkins, I created a collection of props based on the novel "The Nightingale" by Kristin Hannah. The character I made pieces for is Isabelle Rossignol, who smuggles downed RAF and American pilots out of German-occupied France during WWII. I researched every piece meticulously and greatly enjoyed designing, illustrating, and physically creating these props. The props include: - a travel pass (Ausweis) issued by the German government - Isabelle's false identity papers (Carte D'Identite) issued by the French government - a letter from her father - French resistance newspapers that she secretly distributes in Paris - an old copy of "Les Fleurs Du Mal" by Baudelaire that Isabelle and her cohorts use to pass secret messages
